12 Day Trip Vancouver to Alaska, May, 2012

I flew into Vancouver from San Diego on May 10, 2012, and spent a day there, and then caught a seven day cruise on the next day from Vancouver to Seward on the Radiance Of The Seas.   The port visits for the seven day cruise from Vancouver to Alaska include Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Juneau and Skagway.  I also experienced shore excursions into three of those places.   On the cruise tour we stayed at Hotel Alyeska, which is one of the best skiing resorts in Alaska, and we also stayed at Talkeetna Lodge, Mount McKinley Lodge, and Pikes Waterfront Lodge.  We ventured into Denali Park on a Tundra Park upgraded tour, and this is where I saw a grizzly bear – I was absolutely ecstatic, but I actually enjoyed seeing the Black Bear shown above even more.

The highlight of the cruise tour was being on the Wilderness Express train on day one of the cruise tour.

This is a brief recount of the trip, including details of the four day post-cruise tour that took me and my group of fellow CruiseOne franchise owners into the Alaskan wilderness.  I hope you like this blog, this is my first blog and I’m not quite sure if I’m doing this properly.  I’m still not done with this post as I will be adding more pictures taken during the shore excursions and cruise tour.  Let me know if you have any comments, and thank you for reading.
